I have written many times about volunteering as an after school tutor for the Studio 17 program at Santa Maria Urban Ministry, an outreach ministry of the
Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real here in California. This summer, Rev. Lawrence Robles, my husband (John Plocher), and I are taking the kids on Saturday field trips. Two weeks ago, we visited The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose. Tomorrow we are taking these inner city students to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
