On
August 4, 2006, I wrote about the subway map project
Danny Cohen and I have been working on for some years. Recently,
a new book was published for those who share our interest:
Transit Maps of the World – The World’s First Collection of
Every Urban Train Map on Earth
by Mark Ovenden, Penguin, 2007
ISBN-10: 0143112651,
ISBN-13: 978-0143112655
This fascinating new book “brings together for the first time in a single volume
the official current metro maps and diagrams from over 100 of
the world’s major Subway, U-Bahn, Metro and Underground systems.”
Below are some photos of Danny’s and my own map collection here in the
Sun Labs Menlo Park, CA, building.
Our most recent acquisition is a small card showing the Tokyo subway. Along
with our maps is a London Transport
Museum poster of Harry Beck’s original London underground map.

Hi Katy
Well done with your project and glad you like the book.
Let me know if there are any more that you are looking for to add to your collection – if I have any spare ones I’ll post them over.
🙂
